Omniology
Terms such as Ecology, Cosmology, Physiology and Theology are in common usuage, but by early 2009 most people in the English-speaking world were not familiar with the new terms of Omniology, Omniological, Omniologist nor their meanings.
Origins of the terms, Omniology, Omniological and Omniologist
Joe Taylor, founder of the "1st Institute of Omniology" claims the he was the first to come up with the term whilst working with his colleague [1]Henry Johnson as a result of which the 1st Institute of Omniology was created by Joe Taylor at the Mount Blanco Fossil Museum, Crosbyton, Texas and the California Institute of Omniology in Oakhurst, California was created by Henry Johnson (12-14-1947 to 11-9-2008).
As Joe Taylor states in his memorial to Henry Johnson:
"OMNIOLOGY became Henry's watchword. When I coined the phrase in 1998 to describe my own fossil work, Henry took it and ran with it. The study of everything was what we were really all about. Our main focus was on fossil research, but everything else was important. And Henry researched everything. He gathered any information on Tesla, magnetism, earthquakes, ancient art of dinosaurs, alternative energy sources, and religious subjects and on and on."
In recognition of the increased number of people around the world who were clearly working as "unofficial" Omniologists, Taylor and Johnson also produced the world's first [2]Certificate of Omniology which succinctly describes the attitudes and work of a genuine Omniologist.
However, whilst there is no doubt that Taylor and others have come up with the term entirely independetly in 1998, the term had already been coined by Joseph S Clarke, author of "Outline of Omniology",[3] which was published in 1983 by Carlton Press. (ISBN 10: 0806217375, ISBN 13: 9780806217376).
Since that time, independently of Clarke, Taylor and Johnson, other people including Ray Murray in the UK, discoverer of The Law Of Creation (The LOC) which is explained in his free e-book [4] "Letter To The Leader" have independently come up with the terms Omniology, Omniologist and Omniological, having concluded that best way to describe them and their work would be as Omniologists, working in the field of Omniology, whether or not they have any formal association with either of the above Institutes of Omniology.
For example other individuals who are also now using the term include Dr Daniel J Schneck,[5] who in August 2001 was made Professor Emeritus of Engineering Science and Mechanics at Va. Polytechnic Institute and State University. Dr Schneck is the author of a total of 273 Scientific Publications and has taught almost 30 different subjects at levels K-Graduate School, including: OMNIOLOGY: An Integrated Approach to the Study of Everything!
In information posted on the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC)[6]Laura L. Dell has defined Omniology as: "The Study of Everything" and has provided there:
A guide for personal growth, lifestyling and a compendium of procedures, activities, ideas, and references, for parents, teachers, counselors, therapists, prefects, demonstrators, and kids.
The term Omniology was also used as the title of a book: "Omniology: Secret of Cosmos" by Yang Hee Lee PHd (Wisdom Publishing Co, Koyang City, Korea, 1999). This book was available through Amazon, [7] but is currently out of print.
As a result of the relatively high profile of Joe Taylor and Henry Johnson, who have also described themselves as being "Scientific Creationists" their use of the terms Omniology and Omniologist has tended to result in people who discover this fact making the assumption that being an Omniologist and Scientific Creationist are one and the same thing, however this is not the case.
Omniology is essentially, "The Study of The Nature of All" and is thus an over-arching discipline which requires dedicated investigation into a multitude of areas such as Ecology, Cosmology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physiology, Theology... and MORE.
The general "world-view" of an Omniologist is usually, perhaps always, based on a spoken or unspoken conclusion by that Omniologist about the nature of human beings, which Ray Murray has summarised on his [8] Genius For Hire website as:
We come from MORE
Our essence is MORE
And even though we may be experiencing a REALITY
Which tends to make us BELIEVE
That we are something LESS than the MORE we truly are,
The TRUTH is that we are, infinitely and eternally, MORE.
Thus an Omniologist appreciates that "ALL is MORE" and with that in mind, he or she may diligently investigate any aspect of: "The TRUE Nature of Every Thing, which can also include The Nature of NOTHING, their inter-relationships, and their relationships to and with ALL, which is always MORE". Omniologists generally hold the view that it is self-evident that no matter how much you or anyone studies any specific topic whatsoever, "There is always MORE" that may be understood, explored and realised regarding that topic.Therefore an Omniologist regards the following to be a simple and undeniable TRUTH:
"There is always MORE"
Indeed such a declaration may be accurately described as the core tenet of the new Omni-Science of Omniology, which as a field of enquiry explores the little questions and the big questions on "The Nature of ALL" with equal rigour, vigour and dilligence. For example, big questions like, "Does God exist?" or "Is there such a thing as God - and, if there is such a thing as God, what is the True NATURE of God?" are regarded by Omniologists as legitimate questions to ask because many intelligent people hold the view that there is no such thing as God and that God, per se, is perhaps merely a human IDEA. However an Omniologist would also maintain that you can't answer such questions as a Physicist, Biologist or as any other form of Orthodox Scientist, nor even as a Theologian, if your "world-view" happens to be an EXCLUSIVE or closed-world-view that is limited purely by your Training or Beliefs or Opinions.
The perspective of the Omniologist is that if, because of your Training or your core Beliefs or your firm Opinions you ignore or dismiss the work and conclusions of anyone who holds a different or conflicting "world-view", you make it almost impossible for yourself to learn The TRUTH of the matter. However, Omniologists also hold the view that in principle, a dedicated and skilled Omniologist should be able to find the correct answer to all questions great and small, because they have an inherently ALL-INCLUSIVE open-world-view, via which they diligently do their best - often over a long period of time - to ascertain the difference between The LIE, The THEORY, The REALITY and The TRUTH.
For example, with regard to one of those big questions, the REALITY is that many people believe that there is no such thing as God, but it is also the REALITY that many other people believe that there actually is such a thing as God. This produces two, potentially conflicting, "world-views". Given such conflicting "world-views" any Omniologist basically wants to know: "That is The REALITY - So what is The TRUTH?". And an Omniologist seeks to know this because they maintain that if-as-and-when The TRUTH is ascertained, this will naturally reveal the difference between The LIE, The THEORY, The REALITY and The TRUTH.
Omniologists take it as a "given" that, "The TRUTH shall set you free".
On that particular question, the personal findings of British Omniologist Ray Murray is that in fact "GOD and MORE" are one and the same thing - however other Omniologists may disagree with this finding, which is perfectly OK, because what matters are not the specific findings of any single Omniologist or group of Omniologists. What matters is The TRUTH.
That said, if his findings are determined to be correct (and they may not be) then the "bottom line" of those findings is this:
We are in process of again becoming
The MORE We Truly Are
We are returning to MORE
And when we get there, beyond that, there is MORE...
And beyond that, there is even MORE...
And beyond that, yet MORE...
Infinitely and Eternally...
There is always MORE...
